Positive results from the 30-year bond auction spilled over to the stock market, sending stocks to the highs of the session. The results showed greater participation from both direct and indirect bidders.

In other news, the so-called fear index “VIX” hit an 11-handle for the first time in almost 3 years.  The Street says this is a sell signal, and maybe there is near-term turbulence, but it seems more like a strong long-term buy signal.
