All Eyes on Earnings

Today’s price action follows earnings results from blue chip names which have been mixed. Shares of 3M (MMM) are getting crushed on disappointing earnings guidance due to ongoing legal liabilities.
Most sectors are higher, led by Consumer Staples (Procter and Gamble’s (PG) impressive margins results) and Communication Services (Verizon (VZ) solid Q4 numbers).
All eyes on earnings after the close.
It has been great for shares of Netflix (NFLX) who reports after the bell. Everyone is holding their breath.
